Totem's design is a visual hommage - drawn by architect Angelo Micheli - dedicated to early espresso machines, those huge metallic cylinders that started populating coffee bars in the early XX century.

Today as in the 1900's the problem is: how shall we ornate the top? Usually the answers had been: wings, birds, Titans and so on.

But Angelo Micheli had it clear: it shall be a tree. The Tree of Awakenings: you may even hang cups on it and - by using cups of different shapes and colours - design a new machine every time.
